This specimen was lot 34170 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $838. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 25 Schillings, 1935. NGC MS-64. St. Leopold. Mintage of only 2,880 pieces." The SCWC, which lists this type for 1935-38, does not price this coin except in uncirculated, suggesting that it spent its life in bank vaults before entering the collector market. It may have been sold in sets with the "Mariazell" 100 schilling.
Recorded mintage: 2,880.
Specification: 5.88 g, 0.900 fine gold, .170 tory oz AGW, designed by Joseph Prinz and Edwin Grienauer.
