This specimen was lot 40554 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 25 Schilling, 1926. Vienna Mint. PCGS MS-65. From the Augustana Collection." In 1925, the currency was reformed with 100 kronen (old) = 1 groschen (new) and 100 groschen = 1 schilling. The SCWC, which lists this type for 1926-34, does not price this coin except in uncirculated, suggesting that it spent its life in bank vaults before entering the collector market.

Specification: 5.88 g, 0.900 fine gold, .170 tory oz AGW, designed by Arnold Hartig.

Catalog reference: Herinek 3, Fr-521; KM-2841.
