This type was struck in 1858-63, 1873, 1878-81. This date is common in all grades but some of the earlier dates are scarce, particularly those struck in Milan and Venice. One florin was 100 kreuzer. It was made obsolete in 1892 by the introduction of the Austrian corona and heller in 1892.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 3.4 g, copper, 19.25 mm diameter.
