Sincona sale 54, lot 1018

This specimen was lot 1018 in Sincona sale 54 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$387 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835. Dukat 1835 B, Kremnitz. Sehr schön. (empire of Austria, Francis I, 1792-1835, ducat of 1835, Kremnitz mint. Very fine.)"

This type was issued 1825-31 from Vienna (A), Kremnitz (B) and Karlsburg (E). The SCWC lists this under Austria but Friedberg lists this under Hungary.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, .109 troy oz AGW, this specimen 3.47 g.
