This specimen was lot 43018 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $1,320 catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Holy Roman Empire. Taler, 1725. Hall Mint. Charles VI. PCGS MS-61. This elegant Taler is replete with the bright luster and fresh detail one expects from a Mint State example. Light gunmetal tone with lovely rings of iridescent color behind the legends." This type was struck 1719-25, 1730 and 1734 and is reasonably common. The older bust (Dav-1054), also struck at Hall, shows a different hairstyle, a lower collar and the order chain under the drapery.
