CNG Triton XXIX, lot 982

This specimen was lot 982 in CNG Triton XXIX (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $6,125. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA, Holy Roman Empire. Ferdinand II. Emperor, 1619-1637. AV Dukat. Graz mint. Dated 1627. Crowned and armored figure of Ferdinand standing right, holding scepter and globus cruciger / Crowned double-headed eagle holding scepter and sword; collared coat-of-arms on breast; crowned coat-of-arms below. In NGC encapsulation 8419875-005, graded AU 58. Top Pop." This type of 1623-33 was one of several ducats struck for Ferdinand II; others include KM 274 (Vienna mint) and KM 275 (Prague mint).
