Künker Auction 439, lot 2262

This specimen was lot 2262 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,402 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Rudolf II., 1576-1612. Dukat 1600, Wien. Mit · LADISLAS · in der Rückseitenumschrift. GOLD. RR Leicht gewellt, sehr schön-vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung Kommerzialrat Dr. Herbert Wenzel, Wien. Erworben 1972 von der Tiroler Münzhandlung Sigmund Werkner, Innsbruck. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, ducat of 1600, Vienna mint, with '· LADISLAS ·' in the reverse legend. Very rare, slightly wavy, very fine to extremely fine.)"

Friedberg lists this type from Vienna for 1577-1618 and from Prague (Fr-88) for 1594-1611.
