This specimen was lot 334 in Künker sale 400 (Berlin, February 2024), where it sold for €13,000 (about US$16,865 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

Nach dem Fiebertod des Erzherzogs Leopold V. 1632 übernahm seine Gemahlin Claudia von Medici die Vormundschaftsregierung in Tirol. Auf den Münzen ließ sie jedoch das Bild ihres Gemahls mit der Jahreszahl 1632 weiterlaufen. Die beiden Seiten des vorliegenden Doppeltalers unterscheiden sich stilistisch. Beide Stempel wurden von Christof Amende geschnitten, jedoch mit neun Jahren unterschied: Während die Vorderseite mit der durchgehenden Legende aus dem Jahr 1635 stammt, war die Rückseite bereits zur eigentlichen Hochzeit 1626 entstanden. (After Archduke Leopold V died of fever in 1632, his wife Claudia von Medici took over the guardianship of the Tyrol. However, she kept her husband's image on the coins with the year 1632. The two sides of this double thaler differ stylistically. Both dies were cut by Christof Amende, but there was a difference of nine years: While the obverse with the continuous legend dates from 1635, the reverse was previously made for the actual wedding in 1626.)"

A number of different thalers were struck with Leopold's portrait after his death; Claudia may have been doing this to retain legitimacy for her own claim to power.
