This specimen was lot 1910 in Goldberg sale 115 (Los Angeles, February 2020), where it sold for $510. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia. Platinum 50 Dollars, 2013-P. Issued for the 25th Anniversary of Koala. Contains 1/2 ounce of .9995 fine platinum. Housed in the original wooden box of issue with a 1/2 ounce silver medallion stamped with No. 948 of 1,200 total mintage. NGC graded Proof 69 Ultra Cameo." Other koala issues for 2013 include:

  • one dollar (KM 1979, 1 oz silver),
  • two dollars (KM 2078, 1/40 oz gold),
  • eight dollars (KM 2044, 5 oz silver),
  • ten dollars (KM 1980, 10 oz silver),
  • fifteen dollars (KM 1982/2049/2056, 1/10 oz gold),
  • thirty dollars (KM 1981, 1 kg silver),
  • fifty dollars (KM 2055, ½ oz gold),
  • 100 dollars (KM 2048, 1 oz gold),
  • 200 dollars (KM 1984, 2 oz gold), and there may be others.

Recorded mintage: 1,200.

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine platinum, 0.500 troy oz APW, 25.1 mm diameter.
