Heritage sale 3067, lot 33550

This specimen was lot 33550 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $624. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia: Elizabeth II bi-metallic Proof "wedge-Tailed Eagle" 50 Dollars 2016 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, Perth mint. A stunning meld of two precious metals and a practically perfect coin. Includes original mint wooden display case and COA (#699)." This coin did not have a KM number at the time it was sold in 2018 but it is now listed in the SCWC, tho without a photo. We don't see any other Australian issues with this particular bimetallic format.

Recorded mintage: 750.

Specification: 30.67 g, 0.900 fine gold + silver, 32.6 mm diameter, ASW 0.500 oz., AGW 0.500 oz.
