This specimen was lot 22025 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $223.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. Florin, 1958. NGC PROOF-66. Mintage of only 1,506 pieces. Brilliant and quite attractive." The type was issued 1956-63 from Melbourne and all dates are common with the 1956 being slightly scarce.
Recorded mintage: 8,972,000 + 1,506 proofs.
Specification: 11.31 g, 0.500 fine silver, 28.5 mm diameter.
