This specimen was lot 23534 in Heritage sale 3015 (Long Beach, September 2011), where it sold for $21,850. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Halfpenny 1915H, MS64 RB NGC, lightly toned with virtually full mint red on both sides. Very rare date in this superior quality and the first mint state example we have brought to auction." The type was struck 1911-36 at London, Calcutta, Melbourne, Sydney and Heaton (this specimen). The Heaton Mint produced this type 1914-15.
