This specimen was lot 2897 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $110. This type was struck 1744-59 and 1775-76. Off-metal strikes exist in gold, probably made for presentation. One thaler was 960 heller. Augsburg escaped the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss of 1803 but was annexed to Bavaria in 1806, ending its coinage.
