This specimen was lot 20564 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Augsburg. Ducat, 1649. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield. In the name of Ferdinand III. A rather dazzling and brilliant piece with a razor sharp strike, this RARE type is seldom encountered. Accordingly, about the finest which one is likely to encounter. For completeness, a few die cracks typical for the type are noted." This type was struck 1645-57. It is rather expensive but other Augsburger ducats are even more.
