This specimen was lot 42246 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "ARGENTINA. 2 Soles, 1825-RA CA. PCGS EF-45 Gold Shield. Ca De BAs variety. Lightly circulated with gray centers and edges that hold pale iridescent tone. A few thin marks are noted in the legends on both sides, but only really appear when magnified. A slightly scarcer variety of this popular type with the unique legend that reads: 'Ca De BAs' (Casa de Moneda de Buenos Aires). Ex: Ponterio Auction, 11/2005, lot 1269." This type was struck 1824-26, including 1825-RA CA and 1825-RA Ca De BAs.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
