This specimen was lot 7009 in Ponterio sale 152 (New York, January 2010), where it sold for $3,220. The catalog description[1] noted, "ARGENTINA. 2 Escudos, 1825-RA CA D BAS. PCGS XF-40." This type was struck 1824-26 and, like most Argentine gold coins, is very rare.

Specification: 6.75 g, 0.875 fine gold, .190 troy oz AGW.
