This specimen was lot 2022 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,204 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · ANHALT-BERNBURG, FÜRSTENTUM, SEIT 1806 HERZOGTUM Christian II., 1630-1656. Reichstaler 1636. R Kl. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön. (Germany, principality of Anhalt-Bernburg, Christian II, 1630-56, thaler of 1636. Small planchet flaws, very fine.)"
This type was also struck 1640, 1643-45. The Anhalt-Bernburg line survived until 1863 when the last duke died in an insane asylum.
