This specimen was lot 1567 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $142.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFGHANISTAN: Abdur Rahman, 1880-1901, AR rupee, Kabul, AH1304//AH1304, transitional type struck at the Heaton mint, Birmingham, cleaned, AU." Milled coinage was introduced to Afghanistan during the reign of Abdur Rahman (1880-1901). Rupees were also struck in Kabul, Qiran and Qandahar.
