This type was struck for Equatorial Guinea to glorify president Francisco Macias. No doubt they were passed out to friends and supporters of the beloved president as there is no evidence they ever circulated. It is one of a series struck in Italy ranging from 75 pesetas to 5000 pesetas. Circulating coinage from the country is hard to find.

Recorded mintage: 4,000.

Specification: 40 g, .999 fine silver, 1.284 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM 19.
