Stack's Bowers 2026 NYINC sale, lot 47183
SB126-47183r.jpg

This specimen was lot 47183 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $432. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Wurzburg. 5 Kreuzer, 1748. Anselm Franz. PCGS MS-65." This coin's oval shape strongly hints that it was struck using roller dies. Five kreuzer made 1/24 of a convention thaler. Bishop Anselm Franz von Ingelheim, unlike many other holders of this throne, was not a pluralist.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.94 g, silver, 22.5 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-322.
