This specimen was lot 75531 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Penny, 1697. London Mint. William III. PCGS EF-45. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1695-98. Most survivors are weakly struck or have problems.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 10.8 g, copper, 28.5 mm diameter, plain edge.
