Sedwick sale 12, lot 1258

This specimen was lot 1258 in Sedwick sale 12 (Winter Park, FL, October 2012), where it sold for $548.70. The catalog description[1] noted, "Buenos Aires, Argentina, copper 1 decimo, 1823, encapsulated NGC MS 65 RB, finest known graded by NGC. Superb specimen with very attractive color and luster, very well-struck and sharply detailed." These coins were struck 1822-23 under contract by the Soho Mint in Birmingham. They are common in circulated condition.

Specification: copper, 23.5 mm diameter.
