Sincona sale 99, lot 476

This specimen was lot 476 in Sincona Auction 99 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$151 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Nicholas II. 1894-1917, 5 Penniä 1914, Helsinki Mint. Mintage for Finland. NGC MS64 RD. Rotkupfer, Red copper."

This is a fairly common date of a type struck 1896-1901, 1906-17 for Nicholas II. The prior type varied only in the imperial monogram.

Recorded mintage: 820,000.

Specification: 6.5 g, copper, 25 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 15, Bitkin 454.
