Sincona sale 99, lot 477

This specimen was lot 477 in Sincona Auction 99 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 40 CHF (about US$60 including buyers' fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Nicholas II. 1894-1917, 1 Penni 1914, Helsinki Mint. Mintage for Finland. Bitkin 474. NGC MS63 RD. Rotkupfer, Red copper."

This is a common date of a type struck 1895, 1898-1916 for Nicholas II. The prior type varied only in the imperial monogram.

Recorded mintage: 1,900,000.
