Overijssel 1683 6 stuivers
This specimen was lot 75490 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. 6 Stuivers, ND (1693). PCGS FINE-12; Countermark: Very Fine Details. Bundle of arrows countermark applied to obverse of 1683 Overyssel 6 Stuivers. This pleasing representative of a relatively less common countermark delivers much allure, with retained beauty throughout the surfaces." The host coin, which the SCWC attributes to the town of Zwolle, was struck 1680-83 and 1691. This one was counterstamped with a bundle of arrows in 1693, indicating that it was of acceptable weight to continue to circulate. The counterstamp is rare.

Catalog reference: host coin: KM 85. with counterstamp: KM-2.3.
