This specimen was lot 10194 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €125 (about US$130). The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. 1/16 Speciedaler (3 Skilling Lybsk), 1643. Bremervörde Mint. Frederik III. NGC EF-40. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." Struck by Frederick III as diocesan administrator of the archbishopric of Bremen, which he ruled 1635-45. This type was struck there 1641-43. At the end of the Thirty Years War, Denmark surrendered Bremen to Sweden, which ruled the principality until 1719.
