Sincona sale 9, lot 4653

This specimen was lot 4653 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$316 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN Venezia Alvise Mocenigo II. 1700-1709. Zecchino o. J. Gutes sehr schön. (Italy, Venice, doge Alvise Mocenigo II, 1700-09, zecchino withut date, good very fine.)"

As a rule, Venetian coins were not dated and can only be identified as to ruler.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.999 fine gold, .112 troy oz AGW, this specimen 3.44 g.
