This specimen was lot 71312 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Venice. 1/2 Scudo, ND (1702-03)-BP. Alvise Mocenigo II. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Despite the noted cleaning, this alluring hammered issue presents a great deal of eye appeal and very little in the way of actual handling. The strike is rather bold and the brilliance is seldom encountered for the type." The half scudo was worth 70 soldi or three lire. The SCWC depicts many minor coins from this state which are almost never seen.
