This specimen was lot 30833 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Venice. Alvise Mocenigo II gold 1/2 Zecchino ND (1700-09), AU55 NGC. The notably large flan, with the entire dotted border visible on both sides is uncommon on zecchinos and its fractions. Some minor deposits on the reverse, but attractive overall." Most half ducats are much rarer than their contemporary ducats but this one is fairly common.
