This specimen was lot 146 in Sincona sale 75 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 4,250 CHF (about US$5,159 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Grossbritannien | Königreich. Charles II. 1660-1685. 1/2 Guinea 1682, London. Second laureate bust. Selten. NGC AU55. Rare." This type was struck with and without an elephant and castle below the bust 1672-84.
