Sweden 1733 4 daler
This specimen was lot 2612 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €1,500 (about US$1,899 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SUEDE, Fredrik Ier (1720-1751), Cu 4 daler silvermynt, 1733, Avesta. Plätmynt (plate money). Rare. Très Beau. Provient de la collection Harry Dewit. (kingdom of Sweden, Frederick I, 1720-51, copper four daler plate of 1733, Avesta mint. Rare, very fine.)"
In the pre-reform Swedish coinage, 8 öre = one mark and 96 öre = one riksdaler. This type was issued 1720-46 and is the most common four daler plate. Millions were made but most were melted down to make other copper or bronze objects.
