Denmark 1655 2 skilling KM-A190

from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 10219

This specimen was lot 10219 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €85 (about US$89). The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Skilling, 1655. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC EF-40. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type, with oval arms, was struck 1654-55. Another two skilling (KM 189) had flat topped arms. Two skilling was 1/48 of a speciedaler.

Specification: 1.22 g, 0.281 fine silver, 19 mm diameter.
