This specimen was lot 34976 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $764. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Modena. Lira, 1632. Francesco I d"Este (1629-58). Weakly struck in centers. Toned. CHOICE VERY FINE. From the Demarete Collection." This type is not listed in the SCWC, which mentions only the silver crowns and the gold. Modena lies between Parma and Ferrara.
