Belgium 2007 50 euro
This specimen was lot 1342 in Jean Elsen sale 144 (Brussels, March 2020), where it sold for €250 (about US$330 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BELGIQUE, Royaume, Albert II (1993-2013), AV 50 euro, 2007. 50e anniversaire du Traité de Rome. Flan poli. (kingdom of Belgium, Albert II, 1993-2013, gold fifty euro of 2007, fiftieth anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. Proof.)"
Fifth ounce commemorative gold coins (fifty euro denomination) were struck for different topics 2002-14. The Treaty of Rome established the European Common Market, which developed into the European Union. This design was also used on KM 260 (silver 10 euro).
