This specimen was lot 22918 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, 1845. PCGS MS-64 RB Secure Holder. Sharply struck with considerable mint red and quite attractive. From the Brighton Collection." This penny was struck 1838-60 and is fairly common in circulated condition. It shares the same design with the farthing and half penny.
Recorded mintage: 323,000, a better date.
