This specimen was lot 20959 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria Sixpence 1845, Young Head, MS68 PCGS, exquisite satiny luster, virtually perfect, struck from clashed dies, a flashy coin with beautiful silvery gold iridescence. If you want the best, well, here it is -- and most likely this coin's equal will not appear again. From The Kairos Collection." This type was struck 1838-66 in large quantities with a slightly modified obverse continuing until 1887.

Recorded mintage: 3,714,000.

Specification: 2.82 g (not 3.01 g as reported in the SCWC), 0.925 fine silver, 19.3 mm diameter.
