This specimen was lot 75117 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 2 Annas, 1894-C. Calcutta Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-62. This appealing minor delivers reserved brilliance, with precise and well laid details." This type was struck 1877-1901 in substantial quantities at Bombay and Calcutta. It was the smallest denomination struck in silver. This date is omitted from the SCWC altho 1893-C and 1895-C are mentioned.
