The first specimen was lot 2906 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $53.55. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George V, 1910-1936, AE ¼ anna, 1930 (b), full bright red luster! PCGS graded MS66 RD." The second specimen was lot 2771 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[2] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: George V, 1910-1936, AE ¼ anna, 1930(b), lovely luster, NGC graded MS65 RD."This quarter anna was struck at the Bombay mint after World War One. The type was struck 1912-36 and is common in all grades but still makes a handsome coin in nice condition. The Bombay mint also struck this type but only in 1924-28, 1930 and 1936. A quarter anna was one sixty fourth of a rupee.

Recorded mintage: 9,646,000 + proofs.

Specification: 4.72 g, bronze, 25.4 mm diameter, plain edge.
