This specimen was lot 966 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "TRANQUEBAR: Frederik III, 1648-1670, lead kas, ND, crowned F3 // lamb to left, with flag, letter F above, symbol of Gotland, which was part of Denmark 1361-1645; this coin was issue[d] after 1648! superb quality, EF, RR." The Danish fort at Tranquebar was sold to the British in 1845. This lead cash was struck in over 90 varieties during the reign of Frederick III.
