This specimen was lot 70258 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $55,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. 2500 Dollars, 2010. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Honoring the 125th anniversary of Banff National Park. A massive, majestic modern issue that depicts a collage of a number of the park's significant sights and historical moments. Considering it[s] grandeur, an item that should withstand the test of time and only grow in collector demand as it ages. Ex: Heritage (January 2014) Lot # 23266." This massive format was first used in 2007 (KM 681).
