Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale, lot 73294

This specimen was lot 73294 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. St. Gallen. Taler, 1777-H. Beda Angehm. NGC AU Details--Surface Hairlines. Another pleasing abbey issue, this crown does exhibit some light hairlines as noted from a minor cleaning, but nevertheless retains great charm and has started retone quite attractively."
