Sincona sale 65, lot 177

This specimen was lot 177 in Sincona sale 65 (Zurich, October 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"2 Kopecks 1832, Suzun Mint, SM. Rare. 0.5 roubles according to Petrov. 1 rouble according to Ilyin. About extremely fine. (2 копейки 1832, Сузунский МД, СМ. 10,23 г. Биткин 685. Редкие. 0,5 рубля по Петрову. 1 рубль по Ильину. Состояние практически отличное.)"

This type was struck 1831-39 at Suzun (shown here) and Ekaterinburg.

Recorded mintage: 1,500,000, a common date.
