This specimen was lot 1506 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $333.20. The catalog description[1] noted, "STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: Victoria, 1867-1901, AR 5 cents, 1898, lovely shimmering luster, PCGS graded MS63." The type was struck in 1871-1901 and many dates are common.
Recorded mintage: 1,200,000, the most common date.
Specification: 1.36 g, 0.800 fine silver, .035 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
