This example is a debased silver one real struck for REPUBLICA DE COLOMBIA from 1827-1834 at the Popayán mint. The initials RU correspond to the assayers. The region was renamed Republica de Nueva Granada in 1837.

Specification: 3.1 g, 0.666 fine silver, 0.0663 troy oz ASW.
