Aureo sale 246, lot 636

This specimen was lot 636 in Aureo y Calicó sale 246 (Barcelona, September 2012), where it sold for 42 € (about $64 including buyer's fees). The catalog[1] noted,

"Felipe V (1700-1746). 1741. Madrid. JF. 1 real. Pátina. MBC/MBC+. (Philip V, 1700-46, one real of 1741, Madrid mint. Toned, very fine plus.)"

This type was struck at Madrid 1717-45, Cuenca 1718-27 and Seville 1731-45. It is listed as common but is not often seen in nice condition.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 fine silver, .098 troy oz.
