Macedonia is one of the fragments of the former Yugoslavia. She preserves a fragile independence but is dominated by her neighbor Serbia. This denar was struck in 1993, 1997, 2001, 2006 and 2008. Other dates exist. The obverse depicts a Macedonian sheepdog. As of August 2023, US$1 = 56.48 Macedonian denars, making this coin worth about US$0.018.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.

Specification: 5.15 g, brass, 23.7 mm diameter.
