Macedonia 2008 10 denars

Macedonia is one of the fragments of the former Yugoslavia. She preserves a fragile independence but is dominated by her neighbor Serbia. This ten denars was struck in 2008. Other dates may exist. We are a little puzzled by the presence of the peacock, a bird not native to the Balkans. As of August 2023, US$1 = 56.48 Macedonian denars, making this coin worth about US$0.18.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.

Specification: 6.6 g, copper-nickel-zinc, 24.5 mm diameter.
