This specimen was lot 2684 in Ponterio sale 164 (New York, January 2012), where it sold for $517.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1736-MF. Philip V (1700-46). Dark toned. EXTREMELY FINE." A 1736/5 overdate is recorded for the year, which is common.
