Sincona sale 23, lot 3051

This specimen was lot 3051 in Sincona sale 23 (Zurich, May 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR/ÖSTERREICH, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 Konventionstaler 1834. Wien. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Austrian empire, Francis II (1792-1835), convention thaler of 1834, Vienna mint, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was issued from Vienna 1831-35 and is common. Thalers were struck to this weight standard until 1852.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 28.06 g, .833 fine silver; this specimen is 28.09 g.
