This specimen was lot 29843 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $1,043.40. The catalog description[1] noted, "Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Rudolf August & Anton Ulrich Taler 1691-RB MS61 NGC. An extremely choice example of this scarcely encountered Taler, featuring the visages of the jointly-ruling brothers and a beautifully stylistic reverse motif. All-over steel-gray patination enlivens with a substantial amount of apricot iridescence that is delicately woven through the devices and resides within the protected areas. Absolutely appealing and desirable so choice." This type is listed for 1688-1703 and is common.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: Dav-6395; KM-577; Welter-2066.
